Orange Swiss Roll

A few months back, i had tried a different recipe for swiss roll but it wasn't much of a success story, part of it crumble when I tried to rolled it. HAHAHHA. after few hints and tips from friends , i finally got it right ( at least in my opinions). I tried this recipe which is easy to follow and prepare. A good tip is to carefully beat the ingredients to giove it more air so that you will create a fluffy and delicious roll. Happy baking ya all.

3 eggs
2 oz castor sugar (abt. 60 g)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 orange emulco ( i used orange oil)
1/2 teaspoon Sunquick orange
1/2 tablespoon ovallete (cake softener)
1.5 oz flour (abt. 45g)
1/2 tablespoon milk powder
few drops orange colouring

2 oz butter -(melted)

Buttercream icing -or
Any fruit jams or filling - for this i used strawberry

1. Place ingredients A in amixing bowl. Beat on high speed for 5-7 minutes. Fold in the melted butter.Mix well.
2.Spread the batter onto tray layered with greaseproof paper.
3.Bake in preheated oven at 170 C for 20 minutes or until cake turned brown a bit.
4. Once baked, remove cake from oven to wire tray. Let cool for a few minutes.
5. prepared a damp kitchen towel, put a piece of greaseproof paper on top and sprinkle some sugar on the paper.
6.Turn the cake onto the greaseproof paper, roll slowly with the kitchen towel. Unrolled, Then spread the buttercream/filling . Rolled again tightly, wrap in clingfilm for storing .
