Crunchy Chocolate Chips Cookies
Sometimes you just wish for a home made crunchy chocolate cookies that reminds you of Famous Amos cookies... well wish no more, with this excellent recipe you wont have to break the bank to enjoy them. Its delicious, sweet and crunchy..just what the family's love.Cant remember where I found the original recipe though, but the dough does make quite a lot of cookies , so if you are a light eater (or on a diet) better halved the recipe here...
Ingredients A
1/2 cup butter (soften)
1/2 cup shortening
2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup caster sugar
Ingredients B
2 eggs (preferably Size A)
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Ingredients C (sifted together)
21/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon nescafe (instant coffee powder)
Ingredients D
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups mixed nuts( macadamia, hazel, walnut or almond ) -i chopped this a bit
1,Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. In a large bowl, combine Ingredients A, beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and blend well (Ingredients B).
2.Stir in Ingredients C Little by little mixing well until the dough formed. Stir in chocolate chip and nuts.You can shape these into any shapes and arrange onto baking tray.
3. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Cool on tray before keeping in airtight containers.
