Brownies With Almond
here we go again, another round of brownies points for me..:). If you notice this is the 2nd postng for brownies this month. Why I like baking brownies?well maybe because its the simplest form of chocolate thingy for me, just to the liking of my sweet tooth plus the fact that its easy to bake and there are nedless variations which you can try. You can add ingredients like chocolate chips, sweets, all kinds of nuts..even dried or mixed fruits. It also travel weel , perfect gifts when you are visiting. So here is another recipe that I adapted from All Recipes , Absolutely Best Brownies, Enjoy!
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped almond
1/2 cup butter, melted

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 9x9 inch baking pan. ( I always lined my pansIn a medium bowl, beat together the butter and sugar. Add eggs, and mix well. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in the vanilla and stir in almond . Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Scattered the almond slices on top.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are firm. Cool before cutting into squares.
