Chewy Brownies

For a simple fudge and chewy brownies, to satiate that sweet tooth... for extra crispiness you can toss in some nuts or even chocolate chips.. as you like it..
1 cups caster sugar
3/4 brown sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 tablespoons golden syrup (sirap kencana)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts ( I omit this)

In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Combine oil, eggs, golden syrup and vanilla; add to dry ingredients. Fold in nuts if desired.

Spread in a greased 9x 9-in square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Dust with confectioners' sugar while warm if desired

These should be fudgy and not hard or cake like, be careful to not over bake. The edges will satisfy those who like their brownies chewy and the middle will be for those who like it gooey. 2 thumbs up!
