Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies (ALLRECIPES)
This recipe is adapted from here at Allrecipes, posted by Dora. Of course being me, like any other aspiring chef wannabe, we always tweaked it here and there, as to add our own signature into the dish. For this cookies, I sub one cup of flour with 1 cup of ground oatmeal. Since I only have almond, i sub walnut with almond, mine came out crispy because i cook it longer to about 15 minutes (original recipe sugesst 10 minutes). These cookies is definitely a treat especially with a hot cup of coffee or for munching on while reading a fave book. You dont need to wait for a special ocassion to bake this people.... and the aroma of cookies baking really remind you of the time passing the FAMOUS AMOS outlet ...BUT IN YOUR OWN HOME. eNJOY!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup ground oatmeal
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
11/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped almond
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Sift the flour with baking soda. Set aside.Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Add salt. Stir in flour & ground oatmeal, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans. The batter will be quite thick and easier for you to to shape the cookies to a smaller or bigger size.
Bake for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
