My alltime fave cake, something buttery and lemony with a sweet glazed for my sweetooth. Heaven! For a crunchier taste add some poppyseed and wallaa.. The picture were taken when i brought some to the office , dah senget duduk dlam tupperware tuh. Here's the recipe...
3/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups all purpose flour (tepung gandum also can)
3/4 cup plain yoghurt
Zest of 1 lemon, finely grated
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsb salt, 1/2 tsb baking powder, 1/2 tsb baking soda
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
Lemon glaze
Preheat oven to 180 degree celcius, butter and flour 1 9 inch round pan ( or any other pan you wish).
In a small bowl combine yoghurt, with leom zest and juice. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into another bowl. Cream the buter wit sugar until light, add eggs one at a time.Alternately add dry ingredients mixture with the yoghurt mixture in 3 parts until smoothly combined. Pour batter misture into pan and bake for 40-5 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean.
Cool about 10 minutes in the pan before turning out onto rack, cool completely before glazing

p/s to make lemon glaze, ad icing sugar with lemon juice and a 'lil bit of yoghurt.
