Nut and Seed Brownies

Image
Nut and seed you say? yeap you are right... i incorporated sunflowers seed into my brownies along with almonds..crunchy and healthy ( sort of... : ). Most of the times sunflowers seed are found in granola bars and power bars and also tossed in salad. Somebody recently gave me a bag of hulled sunflowers seed, which i promptly toasted in the oven for few minutes and kept in airtight bottle. You can only snack on these for so much and I have to find other ways to use them before they go to waste. Since I was making brownies, I decided to tossed them in too. For these recipe it makes a small quantity , double the recipe and bake in 9x13 pan. This should give you a moist and not too sweet chocolate brownies. Ingredients 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar ( use less if you l ike ) 2 eggs 1/2 cup self raising floor 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 1/3 cup almond sliver ( toasted for 5 minutes ) 1/3 cup sunflower seed ( toasted for 5 minutes ) Directions 1.
