Lemon Poppyseed Cake

I like this cake because it has a refreshing tangy taste, a good pick-me-up choice. The poppyseed adds a certain crunchiness to the cake. The cake was make for a niece ( infact it was an impromtu one) to celebrate her birthday when she came back to Atuk's house, hence the limited decoration.However taste wise the cake was excellent. The original recipes is from Allrecipes.com. Lemon PoppySeed Cake 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup butter, softened 2 cups white sugar 3 eggs 1/2 cup lemon juice 3/4 cup plain yogurt or buttermilk 3 tablespoons lemon zest 1/4 cup poppy seeds DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Heavily grease and flour two 9x5 inch loaf pans. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter or margarine, and sugar until light and fluffy. Chocolate Oil Cupcake & Pink Muffin

Initially, memang tak bercadang nak buat Open House untuk tahun nih, penat sangat rasanyer dan penuh dengan jemputan rumah terbuka kawan2 dan sedara mara yang dekat2 dan jauh2 ( jauh pun kat rawang jer hehe). Then, the operators kat ofis nih duk komplen yang tipa2 tahun i buat open house, so they expect me to do another one also this year. Aduhaiiii anak omak. So terjebak lah jugak dlm upcara open house tahun nih. SO last Saturday (18 Oct) evening, buatlah masak2 sikit dan jemput bebudak kilang and a few good friends over. Menu nyer buat simple -simple jer, luckily my mom tolong tolong sikit2, mudah sikit keje.
